Team Projects

Posted on July 22, 2021 by Abigail Stason

The following video is part of a Zoom meeting where we discussed exactly what you are expected to do on your group team project.  You may have to cut and paste it in because of its length.  Project information (what to do on the class project) starts at 52 minutes into the video and goes to the end of the video:

Video contents:

From 0 to 27 minutes – Junk

From 27 minutes to 52 minutes in the video –  A good example of how to run MASTAN2 from the Open Access Lab.

From 52 minutes to end of video – a detailed discussion of what you will be doing on your Team Project. Works

You will work in teams of 4 or 5.  No collaboration between different teams is permitted. Only three members of your team can collaborate.  No one is permitted to sign the cover page unless they contributed to, and fully understand how everything now being submitted is done.  That is to prevent excuses like “Dr. Lowery:  On quiz B, we assigned Sally to determine the wind loads while I assigned to determine the live loads.  Unfortunately, on that quiz you asked a 30 point question about wind loads and nothing at all on live loads.”

Everyone MUST do EVERYTHING, or at least be fully capable of doing so on exams.

This video is a part of a longer class involving other subjects so you will bring up the video, and start at 52 minutes into the video.
